+ My husband and I unexpectedly changed our travel route, so we made this booking on the fly, just a few hours before arrival. The price was excellent, and everything looked exactly like the photos. The room was clean and equipped with a TV, a kettle, and a selection of coffee and tea. There was a heater in the closet, though the room itself was already warm. The shower area was fully stocked with toiletries, and towels were provided. It was a lovely touch to find a comprehensive guide in the room, covering house rules and travel tips—we even learned that driving our car into Birmingham would incur a charge, and the guide also explained how to use public transport. Parking on the street was easy. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to explore the local area, as we only stayed for the night. The shared living room and kitchen are very cozy, and the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances; there’s even a laundry area. Following the provided instructions, we accessed the property and retrieved the key to our room using a code. This was incredibly convenient, as we arrived late and weren't tied to a strict check-in time. A special thanks for the blackout curtains—we slept very well! The mattress was very comfortable, as was the bedding. There was a slight smell of dampness, but that’s beyond the control of the hospitable hosts. I would definitely recommend staying here.

+ The street is lovely and quiet with a Chinese takeaway across the road, which is super handy. The house is extremely secure with a resident house keeper - all doors also have codes, we felt very safe. The rooms we had (1 x single and 1 x double room) were really clean, the beds super comfy and lots of pillows to choose from. The windows were open when we arrived which was a nice touch as it had been hot. Two bottles of water, two cereal bars and two mint chocolates were in the room - plus a few milk sachets and tea & coffee. There's a small shampoo and separate shower gel in the ensuite bathroom and towels. A rabbit fur throw and two fur rugs - nicely decorated and cosy. The communal areas were super clean as well.
− Unfortunately, if someone has the washing machine on downstairs and someone else is having a shower - you could loose hot water. We spoke to the owner who was lovely and said it rarely happens and that the housekeeper would switch off the washing machine. Once that happened I could have a shower. The parking is limited - we got there after 9pm and already most parking spaces in the street had been taken.
