Oatlands Park Hotel is a historic country house hotel in the heart of Surrey, in ten acres of picturesque parkland. It has modern accommodation, fine food and plenty of outdoor space. The property ia a grade II listed historical building, that is located on the site of a Tudor Royal Palace.

Only a 10-minute drive from the M25, a 30-minute drive from Heathrow and a 45-minute drive from Gatwick, Oatlands Park is also just 2 miles to the Brooklands Museum.

The Mulberry Restaurant and Terrace has views over the Broadwater Lake and landscaped gardens; it offers fine food and a Sunday lunch carvery buffet. The Lounge Bar serves traditional food while the Lawn Terrace is a popular place in the summer months.

+ It was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The bed was excellent and the shower was perfect. Food is available in the restaurant and the bar, with slightly different menus.
− They could have provided hand and body lotion in the bathroom, but everything was so good that it is only a small criticism.

− The bar/restaurant food. I would not advise eating here. We wanted a chilled first night, so went to the hotel bar, as we couldnt get a table in the restaurant. I had the chicken ceaser salad (chicken £8 more) and my husband had the club sandwich, with a side of fries. The chicken in both was dry, and flavourless. The lettuce was brown and soggy. I spoke to the manager, who took it to the kitchen. The outcome a dessert or free drink. Oh and they took the only nice thing off the bill, which was the fries. It was £55 for an old ceaser salad, unflavoured club sandwich, a spirit and mixer and cider (small bottle £7!). I was told they batch and precook the chicken. I dont know why as the restuarant looked empty and the bar was not busy. Its also the same kitchen as the restaurant. So we cancelled the table for the next evening and ate out. The hotel messaged me on booking.com, to ask how our stay was (the next day) and to let them know any issues. I did and they have still not replied...So eat out. I recommend the Flintgate Pub on the main road. Oh and the windows need a clean and a dust. Some lovely big cobwebs on them in the room!
