+ Friendly staff, clean room, close to the beach. When they moved me into a new room everything fell into place. - The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a residential building. You’ll have to carry your suitcases one floor up yourself. You check in at the Hotel Navy and walk a bit back to the b&b, piccolo navy is a b&b, it wasn’t clear during booking. Because it is in a residential building, you have neighbors. And the room I was placed in had a guy next door with unbearably loud TV. It was constant thing. I had to go ask him myself to keep it down. Was super inconvenient. When I asked the reception for help they moved me into another room and recognized the issue. However, they did say it wasn’t the first time. Ot is frustrating to know that a guest was placed in that room regardless. Half of my stay I was super stressed and barely got proper sleep. The “lighthouse” room that I was staying at with the loud TV next door also stank of dampness. It had this old damp smell to it. Felt like it was never aired. I couldn’t keep the window open because in Italy you have a mosquito problem. More than usual. When they moved me into another room which they said is exactly the same just not neighboring residents, I found was larger, more space, slightly bigger bathroom, more like the pictures. This was the “boat” room. It didn’t smell of dampness. It was quiet. I am being this thorough because I do believe they need to address the issues in the other room before they book it out again.
