+ A beautiful, newly renovated place in an excellent location in the old town of Ferrara. The room had old-style charm with high ceilings, while still feeling bright and new. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. Check-in worked very smoothly and could be done late, without anyone needing to be there in person. The stairs are quite steep, as is often the case in older Italian buildings, which may be good to know. My room faced the street, so there was some noise, but nothing that disturbed me. The beds were a little hard, which seems quite common in Italy. A simple mattress topper would make a big difference, as a friendly suggestion to the owners.
