+ Driving into the property you realise that this stay will be special. From check in, to facilities, the restaurant and surrounds, all were excellent. The staff were fantastic and engaging. The meals we experienced from the restaurant were very delicious with the chef and his team using local produce, if not already sourced from their own gardens. Our room, (1 of only 6), was well presented and very comfortable. The views from the villa, alfresco dining terrace and pool were outstanding and the exact picture I had in my mind of a Tuscan retreat. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet getaway with premium service, food and scenery!! $$$$ for AUS customers, but worth it.. + From the first minute after our arrival, we stepped in into a tuscan dream: beautiful views of the tuscan hills, a welcome drink and pure serenity. The following days continued in relaxation - by the pool (which is gorgeous and with an unbelievable view), with good wine and food and unbelievable hospitality from the entire team at Podere 1384. We really enjoyed waking up to the sunrise in our room and having the breakfast outside in the garden. The rooms and the hotel are spacious and beautifully decorated. The fitness room, which we used multiple times, is very well equipped, and the spa is quaint and very inviting and we can recommend getting a massage while you're there. Special thanks goes out to the entire team and especially Mateo! Not only did he recommend the best restaurants and places to visit, he also helped out when we ended up stranded on our last day with a flat tire. He made sure we were comfortable while waiting and communicated with the rental company/tow truck to get things moving. Thanks for your hospitality and for having us! We can't wait to return. What sets it apart isn't just the setting. It's the people. General Manager Andrea and his team run this place with a warmth and attentiveness that feels genuinely personal, not scripted. Any minor hiccup along the way was handled before it became anything worth remembering — that's the mark of a well-run operation. The food is excellent. The service is the kind where staff seem to anticipate what you need before you ask. And the atmosphere is calm, unhurried, and beautiful throughout. If you're looking for a retreat that delivers on every front — views, food, hospitality — Podere delivers without pretension. I'd send close friends here without hesitation.

+ We ate outside under the trees with a great view of the vineyards! The staff were excellent. Andrea the manager went out of his way to explain the region and help us book restaurants. Beatrice, Roxanne and Mireli were brilliant. The proactively anticipated our needs and nothing was too much for them!

Your stay begins with a welcome glass of wine beneath the most beautiful cherry tree, followed by a personalized orientation with Andrea, whose insider tips are invaluable and will elevate your entire trip. The breakfast rivals that of a six-star hotel, and the level of service is simply outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate. The location is perfect for exploring the Chianti region, with most of Tuscany’s highlights just 30–40 minutes away by car. Whether you're looking for wineries, charming villages, or incredible restaurants, everything is within easy reach. Without a doubt, one of the best value-for-money properties we've experienced. Highly recommended.
