+ This is a true gem of a hotel. We received an extremely warm welcome on arrival and the staff were all super friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. There's no air-conditioning (it's a really old building so this is expected) so it was warm at night, but we were provided with a fan which was great. Our evening meal in the restaurant was exceptional. We would happily stay here again. This is a true gem of a hotel. + The location is 'out of town,' which suited nicely, but on Saturdays pm (arrival day) their restaurant is very popular. Thus likely it is best to make arrival time after 1630 for the sake of convenient parking. That said my wife and I were welcomed by José who could not have been more professional, helpful & kind with information relevant to us. We enjoyed sitting in the cool of the entry hall and taking refreshments. Then with our car parked conveniently, luggage collected (thank you José) we settled into our comfortable room. Later, taking dinner confirmed the quality of their cuisine and kind, helpful service. Breakfast if lovely and simple and the standards remain. + Location was perfect, near to a town but close to the fabulous countryside. The place is unique being a converted 14th century defense tower. The food is exceptional Spanish quality cuisine with a very personal touch, not suitable for people who want fish & chips or burgers!
