+ Residential Santamaria is a real hidden gem and, in our opinion, very underrated accommodation. For the price, it offers incredible value and is an absolute bargain. We genuinely couldn’t fault it. The location is great too - Hergom is around a 15-minute flat walk away, making it very easy to reach on foot. There is also a bus stop nearby with regular services into Santander, costing less than €2 and taking around 15 minutes. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late at night, but the owner was there to greet us and couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. It made a great first impression and set the tone for our stay. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided and the beds made every day, which was an unexpected touch at this price point and really added to the overall experience. We would also highly recommend taking the ferry across to Somo for a day trip – it’s well worth it and was one of the highlights of our visit. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Residential Santamaria to anyone looking for comfortable, affordable accommodation in the area. − Some maintenance is required in the bedroom and shower room plus microwave required cleaning before guests arrive to keep standards up.

+ Pedro, the owner is an awesome gentleman. Thank you Pedro for your hospitality. Very friendly, caring, supportive, considerate. The place was very clean and the lady that was cleaning the place very polite and sweet. Very comfortable bed, even great to have a coffee machine and fridge to keep products in. The place was located in a very quiet area, that allows you to sleep in tranquility and rest. As I travelled to get a quiet break from noisy busy London 😁
− The only thing that I didn't like is that the restaurants and bars located around 20 - 30 minutes walking (we had no car) or in Santander city at a long distance, are most of the time closed, the kitchen is closed and to really get a nice meal was very difficult. The bus to Santander city is running every hour (don't trust the schedule at the bus stops, it's incorrect). So accessibility without a car is very difficult.
