Rubish bins not emptied Filthy toilet bowel taps and soa dispensers Bedding smelt then on removal of duvet cover blood stains duvet. Accommodation Spec does not make it clear kitchen toilet and bathrooms are all communal . Spec say towels , only one small one in communal bathroom. Fortunately I brought my own. + The room was large and the garden private. The room and amenities were clean.
− It wasn’t obvious from the property description that this is a room in a house and you share the kitchen and bathroom. With all the other rooms rented people were coming and going at all hours and I was woken up every night at 4am by another guest coming in the kitchen and using the microwave (my room was directly off the kitchen). The kitchen is not brilliantly stocked with cooking utensils. I had to buy a chopping board as there wasn’t one. Other guests tended to leave their dirty dishes in the sink.

− Unfortunately, our stay was nothing like what was advertised, and I would not recommend this accommodation to families. Before arrival, we were simply given a code to access the property. Upon opening the front door, we immediately heard people already living inside the house. While we understood from the listing that this was a semi-private accommodation with shared facilities, the description was misleading. It stated that we would have a private bathroom and a shared toilet. In reality, it was the opposite. We ended up sharing a single bathroom with guests from at least three other rooms. Assuming two occupants per room and our family of four, around ten people were sharing one bathroom. This information was never disclosed beforehand. The room itself was clearly a converted living room rather than a proper bedroom. The "double bed" was barely wider than a single bed and completely unsuitable for two adults. The mattress was so thin and worn that you could feel the wooden frame underneath when sitting or lying down. We were also expected to use a convertible sofa bed, complete with instructions on how to set it up ourselves. Unfortunately, it was extremely uncomfortable, with uneven support and a very poor sleeping experience overall. Cleanliness was another major issue. The room had a strong unpleasant odour throughout our entire stay, resembling a sewage or drain smell. The room was not properly cleaned before our arrival, with hair visible on the floor and around the room. The walls and ceiling showed signs of dampness, and the flooring was dirty with black marks throughout. The bathroom facilities were also problematic. On the first morning, the toilet flush was barely functioning, leaving waste floating in the bowl. The boiler was not working, resulting in my mother having to take a cold shower. To the owner's credit, after we reported the issue, someone was sent to fix the boiler, and that issue was resolved promptly.
