About this property

Shrigley Hall Hotel, just 15 miles south of Manchester city centre, is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside. The hotel dates back to 1825 and is set in 262 acres of spectacular countryside. It boasts its own 18-hole championship golf course, full health club, spa with pool and AA rosette dining.

All en suite bedrooms include a seating area, desk and flat-screen TV. Some rooms have views of the golf course and lake, none of our bedrooms have four poster beds.

Shrigley Hall boasts a fully refurbished & highly unique spa, located in the former chapel. Enjoy the brand new outdoor infinity pool, hot tubs, indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, and whirlpool spa; or the wide range of beauty and aromatherapy treatments. Note: access to these facilities must be pre-booked, a charge applies for residents and is restricted to guests aged 16 years and over (if accompanied by an adult). Access to our fully equipped gym is complimentary for residents aged 18+.

The historical hotel sits high above the estate on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Shrigley Hall Hotel welcomes you with fresh flowers in the grand entrance hall and a real log fire in the Courtyard Bar. Manchester Airport is only 12 miles away.

Shrigley Hall is a Dog Friendly hotel and charges will apply.

- Our sink in the bathroom didn't drain. At breakfast I had to ask for bread to make toast, teaspoons as none available and no salt and pepper! The window pane had a large crack in the room. + Staff, atmosphere and the setting are all superb. My late arrival request for food met and, in fact, very well made (delicious), and served; thanks too to the young man running the bar for his effective professionalism. I also liked being woken up by a beautiful peacock's call.
− The setting and historical building were uniquely lovely. The decor ( pink & orange wall and radiators in the bar area?, a range of old unloved carpets) needs a more holistic, simple refreshment. It could be wonderful.

+ Staff were excellent.
− Food in restaurant a bit pricey, also the hotel is a bit tired for a 4 star, more like a 3 star in my book.
