+ We had a wonderful stay at Starry Nights in Yarpole! We had many questions for the host as this was our first experience in using a wood fired hot tub and sauna, however the host responded to all our queries very promptly before and during our stay at the property. The cabin was exceptionally clean and tidy when we arrived along with the sauna and hot tub. We were lucky enough to witness a beautiful sunset on one of the evenings we stayed, this with a fire toasting marshmallows and listening to the wildlife all around was the most perfect, peaceful getaway.
− Our only tip would be to bring bug/fly spray with you as in the heat they tend to hang around more.

+ We had everything what we needed for our relaxing days.
− Needs a bit more spotless cleaning, for guests to no find hairs and dust in visible places.

+ The views and the surrounding areas were stunning. Lots of birds and wildlife. Enjoyed listening to the Tawny Owls at night. The local village Yarpole was very cute and olde worldy. We took a lively walk to Bircher Common. My husband and son enjoyed the sauna.
− As the stay was a surprise for my husbands birthday, I paid for the hot tub to be heated for when we arrived as I thought it would be lovely to get straight in and enjoy. I paid the host £40 for this. Plus I paid an extra £20 for 2 bags of wood ad both the sauna and hot tub are wood-fired. The host asked me out time of arrival so that he could make sure the hot tub was hot for us. I told him between 3pm and 4pm as we were out for the day not far away as a distraction to the surprise for my husband. We arrived at 3.20pm and attempted to get into the hot tub within 10-15 minutes of our arrive but unfortunately apart from the to foot of water which was "warm", the water was absolutely freezing which I didnt find out until I was in! When then tried our best to heat the tub, using up the two bags of wood that I paid extra for, before giving up. We worked out that the bottom pipe from the stove to the tub was blocked hence there was no heat coming from it. TBH, I was absolutely gutted as I booked this place for the whole hot tub, sauna, wildlife 'well-being' experience and I do feel like this put a dampener on our stay for many reasons including that I had rushed our day out in order to get there on time for the tub to be hot, the fact that my husband loves a sauna and a hot tub, I don't like saunas but love hot tubs, meaning I was redundant whilst my husband and son enjoyed the sauna and it made our evenings less fun and different from being at home. I told the host about this and he was very apologetic and polite but did not offer to refund me the £40 plus the £20 for the extra wood, which wouldn't of changed our experience but I think would have been a nice gesture, as I have also given them the opportunity to fix the problem before their next guests have this experience also. Its a shame as it was not a cheap 2 night stay and I do not feel that we experienced what I booked this place for over a converted chapel in Yarpole.
