+ We loved Teachers Cottage. Was well equipped, cosy & comfortable. We didn't want to leave! A quiet location with plenty of walks for the dog straight from the cottage. Presteigne village nearby was quirky & friendly with a good selection of shops for everyday needs plus a lovely deli for those extra special bits. We spent a lovely musical evening at the Assembly rooms. Perfectly placed for exploring the area. Especially enjoyed Stokesay Castle, the somewhat 'hairy' drive over Long Mynd & the town of Ludlow, all a short drive away. Would thoroughly recommend, intend to return again. - Not exactly a garden but it didn't detract due to the lovely local walks. The key for the back door was a bit tricky, was tempted to spray a bit of WD40 but didn't want to interfere! + The cottage is well equipped, the rooms are nicely decorated and the bedding is of a high quality. It is a lovely little space, very good value for a mid week break or long weekend. The property is very convenient to explore nearby National Trust properties and lovely walks are easily accessible, but transport links are poor, and a car is essential, as it is located in a small hamlet. - The parking for the property is difficult, the cottage is part of an old school building conversion, other properties are standing empty and for sale, the frontage and garden is untidy, mainly due to the proximity of the other residents. + Immaculately clean - felt like it had been redecorated just for us!!! Helpful guide to internal facilities, hints on where to shop and places to eat. All needs catered for , with excellent suggestions for heating to ensure comfort.
− Nothing to not like - not ideal parking situation but easily worked out

+ A comfortable, small cottage with the amenities we needed.
− The parking situation. There is no parking information sent in the many many emails sent about the booking. For any future guests, you acces the "parking" area from tgmhe gravel driveway immediately south of the buildings. However it is really one parking if you drive a car the size of a 1960s Mini. We were fortunate that the neighbour allowed us to park over the space allowed to the cottage. The alternatives are the bus stop (illegal?) Or maybe the private road across the road, or on street, on the main street. This is not "parking included". And Sykes, the property managers don't reply to or acknowledge any emails/messages. This is the third property we've stayed at that they manage. They just don't reply to any questions, they just keep sending duplicates if every email/message. Receives 10 for this booking.
