- Heating in our room wasn’t on and we couldn’t seem to control it, there was a little condensation on the sloping roof wall, either from a leak due to the rain, or potentially from the shower due to the bathroom fan not been strong enough. + The hotel had a great atmosphere, a classic traditional English pub in a lovely village. It was clean and the interior was exceptional and to a very high standard. Not only did our rooms have a large bath, large bed and air conditioning the windows opened too. It was a very relaxed and comfortable experience. In addition the food in the restaurant was amazing. To top it all off our waitress was totally on the ball, bringing water to the table when we didn’t ask for it, noticing drinks were needed as soon as our glasses were empty, and even though she was running around (literally) looking after other tables we felt she’d given us her undivided attention. As for the other staff they were just as attentive and worked really hard. This will definitely become our hub when we visit the Peak District in the future.
