+ Located in a small village 30mins drive from Evesham, where we were attending the festival of brass. Satnav took us down miles of country lanes but, on arrival, there was plenty of free parking. Our room was spacious, had a large, very comfortable bed and was well furnished and equipped. The decor was clean but rather dated. The en-suite shower room had recently been refurbished and was lovely, but for the small amount of paintwork being incomplete. The small TV was better than some hotels and could get iPlayer. Food in the restaurant was excellent and had a range of wines by bottle and by the glass. In common with many pubs these days, the bar sold mainly lagers and pale ales but with one traditional bitter. Staff were all freindly and helpful. In spite of serving as the village 'local' we heard no noise during the evening or over night. Breakfast was the traditional B&B fare and was excellent. The menu also provided the opportunity to order a few less usual items, like kippers, in advance. Our one night stay was better than we had expected and we would stay again if we return to the area, maybe next year. + Friendly staff, nice clean bar and restaurant area. Good food, especially breakfast.
− The room was a little tired. Broken bits and pieces dotted about the place.

+ Excellent breakfast. Really good choices. Preferences noted and served. Portions very generous. Staff very friendly helpful. The pub was well used by friendly local people which is always a good sign.
− The superior double room is in need is some redecoration but the on-suite bathroom has already been done to a high standard.
