+ Friendly, welcoming team Lovely room Liked the self-service breakfast
− The lighting was extremely dim - difficult to apply make up like that! Very noisy until 1am, but that comes with the territory when booking a room over a pub, so not a problem per se, although people may want to know about this before booking. Coffee maching 'hot chocolate' option only served hot water!

− Lots of lorries coming through Abingdon all night long. The room overlooked the road so it was a bit noisy

+ My room was huge and fitted out like a suite with desk, armchairs cupboard and the like, with a spacious ensuite bathroom and walk in shower. Breakfast was not specified in the price, but a fridge outside my door was loaded with everything I needed and more, and free to use.
− Traffic along road outside my window was thunderous throughout the night and literally made the building shake. I was told that this was due to road closure along the main road, resulting in heavy traffic coming though the town. If true, it's hardly the fault of the pub / hotel. Shower was fitted a large overhead shower-head with no handheld option, which many customers might not like.
