+ Out of all the B&Bs/hotels we stayed in for our 6 day walking holiday, this one had the most comfy bed and pillows. It also had a bath! Lovely cottagy feel and lovely clean room with a TV that actually worked properly. Excellent value for money, we paid more for much less at some of the posher places! I liked this B&B. - Coffee bags rather than instant would be amazing. Again, a very busy road and bright street lights, so to get air into the room you have to have the window open so the traffic and light is not good. In fact the street light is so bright you can see perfectly without the light on, maybe ask the council to turn off after 12. The bathroom is getting a little tired and could do with being replaced but I know that’s expensive to do, it is functional though. No breakfast here, you have to go to a nearby cafe. Our bags couldn’t be checked in and when we arrived tired from our 14 mile walk we had to sit outside and wait an hour before anyone came and then our room wasn’t ready. Lovely friendly staff. + Great location just off the Thames Path with friendly staff. The landlord Leon is very personable and helpful. My room was well-appointed with a super comfortable bed, which was just what I needed after a long day of walking. No breakfast on the premises, but Leon happily recommended a nearby cafe that served good food. Sadly didn’t get to experience the pub downstairs, but it seemed lively and fun. Next time!
− The bathroom fan could perhaps use a bit of an upgrade. It rattled and appeared to operate on a motion sensor, so it switched on every time I entered the bathroom and stayed on for a while. Nothing a pair of good ear plugs didn’t solve though.

+ A group of us stayed across three rooms for the weekend, and we had a brilliant time. The highlight has to be the staff—Leon, the landlord, and the whole team are warm, friendly, and hugely welcoming. The bar has a great atmosphere, decent beer and the pub’s location in Wallingford is perfect for exploring the town, enjoying the festival (if you happen to be here during Bunkfest next weekend), and setting off on local countryside walks.
− A tiny tweak for the future: the rooms are very comfortable and airy but could do with a quick refresh. Also worth noting that they don't offer breakfast, but with so many great local spots nearby (we had a top-tier breakfast at The Dolphin pub down the road), it didn't bother us in the slightest.
