+ This hotel is a real Highland gem! It is above the normal standard of similar hotels and we will definitely come back. The staff are really friendly and very helpful, our room was thoughtfully furnished and included unusual extra touches such as a proper charging box for USB and plugs, along with a comfy sofa and coffee table in front to the wall mounted tv. They provided decaffinated coffee for the room when I asked for it, I think it had just been forgotten when restocking the box. The public areas also look as though they have been recently refurbished, there is a warm public bar which was busy on the Tuesday and Wednesday nights we were there, it has a good selection of beers and whiskies . The other bar has the restaurant and is also attractive. The breakfast was excellent, very good selection, proper fresh pressed orange juice (a rare event in a hotel!) plus properly made porridge!! It was served in the dining room attached to the events area, good view of the street outside. Parking is either on the street or at the back of the hotel and they cater for cyclists. It is in a good location for walking, cycling and sightseeing in Royal Deeside and not far from the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve. This hotel is a real Highland gem! − Room bit dark, hard doing make up, with being under stair outside, no light on bathroom mirror, would help getting make up done, apart from that, very comfortable, clean.
