+ We had a lovely stay at The George of Stamford, which is perfectly situated right in the heart of Stamford, making it an ideal location for exploring the town. The hotel has a wonderful old-world charm, full of character and atmosphere, while still being spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. Our room was lovely, and the beds deserve a special mention – exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. We also dined in the hotel restaurant, which was a real highlight of our stay. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a lovely ambience that made the whole dining experience feel special. The food and service were excellent. The hotel combines historic charm with comfort and character beautifully. Staff were welcoming, and the whole experience made for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We would happily return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The George of Stamford to anyone looking for somewhere special to stay.

+ Staff service was excellent. Food was superb. Rooms were good.
− We were discouraged from business work on laptops in the outdoor covered area and the lounge. This was disappointing. There is a separate business centre but we preferred the outdoor air. Rather restrictive.
