- Our only observation was the number of stairs that need to be negotiated to get into The Gingernut. We had 5yr and 2 yr old with us so a bit tricky with bags and a buggy but once inside, it is magical. Maybe it might need to add no suitable for persons with mobility problems or very young if not already in the property listing. + The apartment couldn't be more central, and it's in a lovely part of town. Cafes, shops, and bars are right on your doorstep, as is a wonderful Italian Restaurant where we ate our evening meal. There's plenty of space in the apartment, and the host is friendly, responsive and caring. It's lovely being able to watch over the top of town from the lounge windows, and, there's a great view from the top bedroom (though we didn't use that one as it was only three of us!) - Oh - on that "three of us" mark, the host was very understanding about my mistake on booking for only one person and amended things accordingly and fairly.
− Now I read back, I can see the host mentions the accessibility in her listing, but I'd missed this. There are large stairs (as in quite steep) to get to the doorway, and the only handrail was covered in pigeon poop, so Mum found it very difficult to get down to the entrance. Inside, the stairs up to the apartment are quite long and when you step in to the apartment you're straight on to steps, which are uneven. The apartment is lovely, but, if we'd understood the access situation, we'd have booked somewhere else.

+ The property was located right in the centre of Ross on Wye just opposite two excellent restaurants and perfectly placed for a weekend break in a new place. The property was clean well appointed and provided everything needed. There was good communication from the owners who emailed me on the morning of arrival with instructions on getting the key and how to find the property. Although there is no parking there is a good long term car park about 6 minutes walk away.
− The main point o caution is that the stairs into the property and within the property are very narrow and anyone with restricted mobility would find it impossible to get around the property - be warned
