+ Really good central location Plenty of space Relatively Clean Value for money given booked over easter weekend and good location, however we did have a discount code-however given issues highlighted below i would suggest it was expensive for what we got, especially given no compensation was offered
− Repairs needed to the property to make it safe and suitable for future guests Door handles on many of the doors were quite loose and on our final night a handle broke on a bedroom door and door could not be opened. Owner was on holiday but did send his uncle who had to kick the door in to open it within the hour . We were extremely lucky that our children (3 and 6 years old) were not in the room or that there was not an emergency situation (eg a fire). No compensation was offered and really we felt there was lack or regard or apology for the seriousness of the situation and the distress this caused our child, in addition to putting a dampener to our last night - plus an exhausted child the next day after a late night Bathroom door wouldn't shut as couldn't be pushed past the floor (not sure if floor was raised/swollen or door hanging low- so stayed pretty wide open- OK for a close family, not for groups of friends! Asked for a £100 deposit the day before in order to get check in details- not advertised in advance - bit annoying Beds were extremely uncomfortable Some necessary utensils etc missing from the kitchen eg. Only 2 cereal bowls, no strainer but dozens of random glasses in different cupboards! Some kitchen equipment was quite dirty. Very loud, we kept checking if windows were open! Thicker blinds or curtains needed in front bedroom Off street parking £5 per day. Property is on the top floor with lots if steps- wouldn'tbe suitablefor those with mobilityissues or pram(for awareness for future guests)

− 3 hours before turning up at the property I was asked for a £100 deposit - otherwise check in details would not have been released. There was no mention of this anywhere before booking it. Nor did the property owner mention this after booking. He waiting just before checking in so that we were trapped and had to comply. I was told I can cancel and rebook somewhere else. But this is quite difficult 3 hours before the booking for a group of 6 people and holiday plan made around the accommodation. I was told this is standard procedure but this should be mentioned before or just after booking. Not 3 hours prior. Similarly after checking in - there was no WiFi. He said everything is in the book which we could not find anywhere - so effectively no WiFi. The toilet doors would not close so no one could use the toilets. There was black mould in the bedroom so we couldn’t sleep in that room due to safety concerns. This room was not at reflective of what was mentioned/ shown in the add.
