- A couple of issues in the room which weren’t an issue as everything else was good. However … The reception staff member (we believe his name was David) basically fobbed us off with a key and a very brief explanation of where to find our room: “en bas de la rue à droite, grand bâtiment rouge.” I was coming from the UK to France to enjoy a little two-day break with my sister, and we felt that the man who gave us the key was quite patronising. Clearly, we hadn’t understood the layout of the hotel and how the rooms are spread throughout the area in different buildings. It would have been much more welcoming to simply explain this to us, rather than giving us the rather abrupt and unwelcoming comment: “On a plus de 30 chambres réparties sur toute la baie, madame, hein.” Perhaps this would have been a nice thing to explain to us in a more friendly way, especially as the area is lovely, with all the different buildings charmingly named after birds. Instead, the impression we got was that he clearly didn’t want to be there and made absolutely no effort to welcome us. We ended up parking the car somewhere and trying to find the “bâtisse rouge” by ourselves bearing in mind there were a few red buildings! It’s important to note that the young lad who was originally at reception, before going to David was far more friendly, polite and welcoming. He gave us a much better impression from the start. It really wouldn’t have taken much: a smile, a little explanation and a welcoming attitude would have made all the difference. − The heating system didn’t worked and we were cold ! The light’s that supposed to be automatic never went off! Phone to call the staff didn’t work ! because all those problems we were not able to sleep all night long and my sister in law got sick !

+ We reserved this place for two nights (weekend). It was good and relaxing. We saw a few things that is good to know before reservation because the description in booking is a bit different. 1. This hotel has amazing staff you can ask whatever you need to know and they are available always. 2. If you have an electric car you can charge it for free 3. We reserved junior suite and understood this hotel has a base on top of the hill and the rooms are spread in the area, for us was about 4 mins walking. But consider if you want to use jacuzzi you have to walk with rope, or if you want to use restaurant for meals it needs walking 4. For breakfast you have the option to eat in the room free of charge which is good. 5. In the description of the Hotel you see that a price is mentioned for lunch and dinner, but it’s not true. You pay for whatever you order and there is no included lunch or dinner 6. We had dinner at the restaurant, the quality was ok but if there are a lot guests at the restaurant expect a good amount of delay. For us they forgot about one of our order and we received it very cold and late, but the manager brings a new hot one and even excluded it from the final price. 7. On the booking page says it has a gym but the nearest gym is about 5 km. 8. One of our facilities in the room was mini bar but there was no fridge in the room. At the end we didn’t get if it was broken and they removed it or the facility list on booking was wrong. But we asked for ice to have cold water and they provided with bucket of ice 9. There is a damp smell in the room that makes sense because the hotel is close to the sea.
