+ Although this is an attractive, historic hotel located on the main road of the mainly unspoiled rural village of Ripley, the A3 and the M25 are only a few minutes drive away. We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room with the medieval bar and restaurant of the main hotel a few yards away. They served excellent food with a good wine list and several real ales All the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and cheerful giving what came across to me as the happy atmosphere of a well run hotel. + Location was perfect for me. Lovely old building which has kept its charm. Staff and food on the whole were great and good value for money. Room was comfortable and warm. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again
− Inconsistency with breakfast. Friday morning was brilliant, the choice, food and staff. Saturday morning was acceptable but didn’t live up to the expectations set by my experience the morning before. Bar closing at 10.30pm seems a little early in my opinion
