+ We recently spent a couple of nights at the Trout on our ‘mini-moon’. What an amazing place! Our room was spacious, well decorated, and super comfortable. It’s in a really quiet location so it was lovely to simply unwind and enjoy the peace. We loved the location, especially the garden which borders on the rivers edge and offer such pretty views. Food was delicious. There was loads of choice at breakfast and everything was freshly made. Danielle took care of our order which arrived quickly and piping hot. We even ended up eating at their restaurant on both evenings. The absolute stand out were the amazing staff! Prior to our stay my new Husband spoke to Luke to arrange a couple of romantic surprises. My husband was blown away by his kindness and willingness to help - even agreeing to take a special postal delivery prior to our arrival. Mia also looked after us during our stay. She too was incredibly helpful and proactively shared lots of advice on travelling in the local area - which definitely helped us avoid a hefty traffic filter fine when visiting Oxford! Darren and Lottie were also incredibly kind. They gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived and they also took the time to check in on us to ensure we continued to enjoy our stay. We are definitely looking to return - but next time we’ll be accompanied by our dog as Trout is dog-friendly too! Thank you again to all staff for ensuring that our little post-wedding break was so special.

+ It was lovely. Probably the nicest place we stayed. It was in the middle of nowhere but we were looking for that after busy London. The people were nice and upgraded us cause no one the booked the nicest room.
− It was in the middle of nowhere and there wasn't anything real close.
