+ Room was large and comfortable. Parking in a secure courtyard. It was very quiet despite what other reviewers had reported.
− Breakfast is extra and the earliest available is 0830 which is abnormally late. The Tassimo coffee machine was a pain and they were mean with the pods, only one coffee.

+ Did not have breakfast. Location impossible to find without callling a mobile number which was the number of a previous employee. Postcode was incorrect. Without his help to talk us in we would never have found the property.
− Only member of staff on arrival was a young lady with no real knowledge of what she was doing! Despite me having paid Booking.com the full payment on 5th May, this young lady proceeded to take £600.00 off my credit card which I only discovered when informed by my bank. The young lady was convinced it was not her fault and was rather rude. We had difficulty in talking to a manager, who only appeared the night before we departed. Neither she nor the young lady would refund my credit card and both said there was 'glitch' in the system. I am vaguely promised reimbursement within 5/10 days which I consider reprehensible! Grave concerns about security. Apart from the young lady at the desk, there was no other member of staff available except the night porter who was frequently unavailable at reception. A note was left on the reception desk to say he would be in the bar. Furthermore the main door to the Hotel was permanently left unlocked. As was a side door off the back street. This meant that anyone could walk into the hotel during the night. There were no safety chains or peepholes on our bedroom doors which we found unnerving. The last night we were there there was a Wedding with no visible check of people wandering in and out and going upstairs.
