+ Budget price and generally what you'd expect. Clean, warm, comfortable bed. Most of the basics were there, inc tea and coffee-making.
− Check-in process was by text, so no personal welcome or human interaction. Other than that a few small things: TV reception was poor; a plug on the sink would have been useful. And the complimentary sachets of shower gel and shampoo were poor, not enough to clean a gerbil.

+ Loved the amenities provided, like fridge and microwave that is uncommon anywhere else. Self service check in process was easy. I did a late check in and early check out next day, so timing was not an issue. Replies to queries quickly - I've only messaged through booking.com. Great town location and close to the beautiful Brecon Beacons
− Mattress was overly soft and springs can be uncomfortably felt. I had booked a double room so used the extra pillows as a protective cushion. Not an old mattress, just made that way I believe

+ Excellent value for money. En-suite bathroom, microwave an fridge were great meaning I could do simple meals in the room and avoid going out to eat. Lidl store very nearby (by car). Housekeeping was good as was the hassle free check in. Location was useful for walking and hill-walking.
− The mattress was not very comfortable and the room was at the front of the building overlooking a busy street that was noisy. I strongly recommend earplugs! (I slept fine with them in). I image it would be very hot in summer as the window did not open far so maybe bring a fan if its very hot.
