+ We were really impressed by Tritón, we enjoyed what they have built and enjoyed how the team did an amazing job at accommodating us and welcoming us to the hotel. When you first walk in you don't know what to expect because there is no traditional reception and check in area, the entrance is a narrow breezeway decorated with shells that visually and audibly, guide you towards the pool, bar, and indoor area. When you walk in likely the first people you will meet are the bar staff, and they politely guide you to the reception office in the indoor area. Once you reach that point you get a hint of the wonderful setup they have there. The pool is one of the centerpieces of the property divided with shallow/deep areas, and a deck for seating. The pool gives you a front row seat to the hotel, bar, restaurant areas, the sea, and the infinity pool (second pool). The food at Tritón was delicious, this was something else that caught us by surprise, we were not expecting the food to be this good. They have a nice mix of Dominican cuisine with some fine dining. We stayed in their suite, a great one bedroom with sofa, dining table, king bed in the bedroom and an outdoor shower. Since the property is right next to the sea you get an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea and the way it furiously crashes the cliffs Definitely glad we stayed here for the night, and it's only 17min away from SDQ/Las Americas Glad we stayed out of the busy Boca Chica to get some rest We were really impressed by Tritón, we enjoyed what they have built and enjoyed how the team did an amazing job at a...
- Just make sure you manage your expectations this is a small seaside town with a few touristic properties, if you are looking for a place where you could walk around and visit several shops and restaurants this is not the place for you. It is pretty isolated and if you pass it on the highway there are no turnarounds for several km. Some of the facilities are a bit worn out by the relentless salt from the sea breeze. The closest beaches are pretty dangerous swimming wise (Playa Caribe) and you will find that the others are pretty much full of locals, some tourists won't enjoy the competitive nature of people trying to handle you for free parking and get you to eat at their restaurant, or sit at their umbrellas, but that's how some of the beaches are before getting developed by large projects, you may enjoy that true Dominican experience or you might prefer the sanitized version a few km further. Just make sure you manage your expectations this is a small seaside town with a few touristic properties, if you are ...

+ The staff was incredible and the amenities very nice with 2 pools. The cocktails and for menu were great with the chillino relleno (stuffed snapper) being a must have.
− Unfortunate there was construction going on, lots of noise during the day but the facilities will be even better once complete.

+ Incredible welcome, kindness of all staff, they made it possible to rest and relax as a holiday deserves. we loved the delicious continental breakfast, the swimming pool overlooking the sea. The strategic location on the motorway and the proximity to the capital. Very good experience 👌
