+ Location was ideal for our purposes. Breakfast was not brilliant on the first morning, but improved slightly by the second morning. The room was light, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was adequate. - Bed was very high to get out of. Could have done with another chair, but we managed. Probably could have done with more signage from the block to the cafe/bar. Luckily we asked a student who took us there. Bed was very high to get out of. Could have done with another chair, but we managed. Probably could have done wi...

+ Breakfast is excellent. Parking is free and plentiful. Location is great for touring Kent by car and yet an easy walk into town. Room facilities are comprehensive. My wife mentioned there isn't a hairdryer but otherwise all the things you'd expect in a mid range hotel. The management and logistics are smooth. The price is an absolute bargain. - If you have limited mobility this probably isn't the place for you. It's designed for young active students after all. It's a walk from car to reception, reception to room and from room to breakfast. And lots of hills and steps. All in a pleasant campus setting but not great if getting around is hard for you. It's a hike into Canterbury. Again pleasant and easy for us, but not for everyone. Some of the students can be a bit noisy (briefly) in the early hours. No trouble for sound sleepers. The mattresses are very firm and the showers effective but Spartan. It's a university hall of residence nothe Ritz. If you have limited mobility this probably isn't the place for you. + Breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful. Room was of an acceptable standard. One of the guests has mobility issues and we were able to use blue badge parking which was very helpful and made it easier to access the property
− The main issue was that we were unable to open the window adequately so the room was extremely hot, making it difficult to sleep.

+ Proximity to where we'd planned a night out in Canterbury. Being on campus at the age of 66 and not being a student!
− It's not that I didn't like it, but the mattress was not overly comfortable, it was quite bouncy.

+ Convenient location, very friendly staff, thanks for making things as easy as possible for one of our party who is a bit less steady on their feet.
− Unfortunately our stay coincided with some kind of event on the campus which meant some loud background noise quite late into the evening.
