- This is an unfinished project, so the beds, bath etc were new The building site approach was a bit off-putting. Instructions to access the room were in the form of two pictures, and instructions for the wi-fi were in the form of a further picture. The router was in the property above. A range extender was on top of the mop bucket at the side of the fridge freezer. It was not plugged in, so I could not connect. The toilet was in a corridor at the bottom of a staircase, in the same corridor was the fridge freezer, not plugged in, a new microwave and nice coffee machine. None of the appliances were plugged in, there were no instructions either. The sink to wash your hands was in the opposite corner of the studio room containing two beds, a bath, sink, wardrobe and two exercise machines tucked up against a wall. The access door was half covered on the outside by an electronic shutter so I had to limbo under it to get in. Once in I then saw a button by the door to control it, again no instructions. There were loose panels around the bath, and the corridor lights could only be switched on when you were at the far end of the dark room. After a short while the corridor lights flickered. A second light switch by the door to the corridor was missing the faceplate on was covered in sellotape to prevent anyone using it. The French lady in the property above was charming but we couldn't communicate at all due to a mutual language barrier so I had to talk by phone to a chap who gave me the number to the key safe for access. I like a challenge so the experience was just very "Rural France" and clearly work in progress. In the short term the room is ok as a stop over. In the long term there are lots of finer details to be worked out so that the room could have other uses. This review accurately reflects my experience, I'm sure if I was fluent in French a full explanation would have eased the way.
