- I don't mind outdated, it can have a charm. But this caravan lost its charm a long time ago! The door doesn't lock, but fortunately the area is residential and I expect fairly safe. Although the sockets worked, so I could at least charge my phone etc, the lights didn't work. Candles were provided, which is fine, kinda nice, but I'm not sure how that passes fire safety lol. The bed is old, the mattress thin. It has a slope, so the choice is to sleep head down and struggle with indigestion, or head up with a protruding cupboard right above you for a guaranteed bruise on your forehead in the morning. (Yes, as predicted, my head was bruised). The floor is soft in places... This caravan is at the age where it might make a kids play shed, but not rented accommodation. The main thing though, the biggest negative, is the lack of running water. Non at all. Rony left us a 1.5ltr bottle of drinking water, and a bucket of water in the sink. I assume that's for washing pots etc. this should make me give it a number 1 rating, but I gave it a 5 only because of the friendly host. Message to the host Rony... You need a new caravan mate. I don't mind low standards, but this set a new low. And as an absolute essential, it needs running water. Booking.com says that running water is essential, a property is uninhabitable without it. Every one of your guests could go for a refund because of it. I'm not going to, and that's because you are a star man, very pleasant, I see you do some good work in Calais, I think you're a great guy, and you very kindly invited us into your house for a shower. + Stayed here before...basic but comfy enough overnight accommodation in caravan near Ferry terminal. Unbeatable price! Bring your hot water bottle for colder nights! Friendly host Rony let me know I left my charger behind!

+ Host is great and the caravan is exactly as described, absolutely bare bones experience but comfortable nights sleep. Water and rudimentary toilet provided worked fine for me, Wi-Fi was very fast.
− Bus to and from Calais can be a little tricky but this is not the hosts fault, he was responsive to my messages.

+ Loved the cozy little old caravan with the very basics. Just as described ! No frills...no running water... but adequate for budget overnight stay before ferry or hiker wanting basics. .Bed small but comfy and clean.. And well equipped with everything needed to prepare simple meal! Breakfast very basic: Rolls/Jam /Coffee but wasn't really expecting much as price of stay so reasonable. Host Rony very pleasant.
− Can't fault anything at this price! Was as described so no surprises!
