- Because the kitchen area isn't completely enclosed a mouse got in both nights while I was there and ate my washing up sponge and destroyed an insulted bag, and left droppings all over the kitchen sides. During the day while I was out a bird came in both days and pooed on the kitchen floor and sides. - No attention to detail. The pod was not clean, dusty cobwebs with dead flies along the top of the kitchen window over the food area and in corners, black dog hair on the floor in corners. TV didn't work until we moved the cable to another HDMI socket so it had not been checked. The pillow case was torn along the seam. Minor point for us, there was no cafetiere which we would expect in a self catering accommodation. No attention to detail. + The pod is cosy but not warm. The views are beautiful but the hedge was so high that we couldn’t see out of the kitchen window.
− Very very cold. Don’t be fooled by the kitchen area. The owner described it as an ‘outside kitchen’ when we said it was freezing with no heating. No where does it say that but there are gaps in the area between the walls and roof and gaps in the floor. The microwave was also dangerous to use. There were only 2 chairs in the kitchen but the pod sleeps 4. There is also no other table or anywhere to eat. Outside all 4 chairs and the table were broken and in a poor state and so we tried the camping chairs but 3 of those were also broken. The beautiful views couldn’t be seen through the kitchen window as the hedge had been allowed to grow so high. So you are left sitting in a pod with no views and very very cold. One of the owners was helpful and tried to get us moved but everything was booked up. The other chap we spoke with was just rude and said we should have done our research. As helpful as the one chap was (and we did get a full refund) we would never return. I’m only writing this as I would hate for another family to have their holiday ruined.
