- 1) There were no check in information sent on the day. The number on booking.com was incorrect. There is a number outside the property to ring Reception who was not helpful asked me to look for the email and hung up. I called again having stranded outside of the property over 25min as I didn’t get the email. She then only sent the details to my phone after about 15mins. There was no physical staff there on site for check in process. 2) I got woken up by an overall itch and feared for the worse(bed bugs). So I turned the sheets up and took the bedcover off and Discovered a huge brown stain, hairs and black specs on the mattress. As the bed base was not bolted together it came apart as I was trying to turn the mattress over to check if I could sleep on the other side. To my horror I found dusts, bird feather and other things resembled of smashed glass on the floor. I called the on-site team who sent the cleaner up. They spoke in Urdu or Hindi between themselves. I asked for a room change but was told not possible. The manager said basically contact booking.com to refund the money and find somewhere else to stay. It was 22:30hrs in Woolwich arsenal which seemed like a very rough area. I asked for recommendations but the cleaner didn’t know anywhere else. He did tried his best to make the room clean and gave me all new sheets for the evening. I was mortified and couldn’t rest for the night. 1) There were no check in information sent on the day.
